WWU Student Night at The Pickford
Winter 2020 VP2
On February 29th 2020, we, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation E3 cohort executed our first successful event as a team, as per the requirements of our VP2. The objective of the E3 VP2 is to successfully move through all four steps of the Z-model: evolving a venture from an idea to a minimum viable product, then to launch, and further considering a vision to scale. This quarter the E3s achieved not only a successful iteration of the Z-model, but we also fulfilled our proclaimed value proposition promise of raising student awareness of an underrepresented community “Hot Spot”: The Pickford Film Center.
The Pickford Film Center is a local non profit organization located in the heart of Downtown Bellingham. They offer more affordable movie tickets than their competitors and offer a unique movie screening environment, of which both factors are commonly unbeknownst to students. Consequently, our goal was to host a fun night out for WWU students in order to sustain student involvement with the Pickford. Our event, WWU Student Night at The Pickford, brought more students to the Pickford with hopes of creating more awareness and interest in the local film center. We also provided a fun, affordable, and engaging space for our guests throughout the night.
Amrita Lounge
Fall 2020 VP2
We had the opportunity to work with Amrita Lounge for our E2 Business Consultation. We had the pleasure of providing insight to Daniel Soloff, the owner and operator of Amrita Lounge. Daniel was looking for support for defining his customers and marketing strategy. Our team used our Entrepreneurship and Innovation skills to provide feedback and support. We provided a business report with detailed recommendations and potential logo designs for Amrita Lounge.
Keep It Relevant
Fall 2019 VP1
Keep it Relevant is a card game that fosters community and helps build relationships with friends and strangers through a fun and pressure-free environment.
The game rules are simple. Keep It Relevant is a card game kinda like a mashup of Cards Against Humanity, What Do You Meme, and Cranium. There’s 5 stacks of cards to choose from, all surrounding different pop culture and social media references. Roll a dice to determine which stack you pull from. One player will read the partial reference/show the screenshot/read the question on the card and the other players will compete to finish the reference or answer the question. First person to buzz in with the correct answer wins the card. First to 10 cards wins.
