Art Banana is app designed to be a one stop shop for those looking to engage with their creative side in new and more diverse ways. To accomplish this Art Banana provides users with on demand access to lesson guides, supplies and stimulating prompts. The lesson guides are meant to help users discover new hobbies or develop their skills set. To accompany this, the ability to purchase supplies was incorporated so that users who are beginning a new hobby can find the supplies they need. The keystone feature is an artistic prompt system which provides users with either creatively stimulating challenges to strengthen their skills or relaxing and mindful prompts to aid in relieving stress, depending on the user’s preference.

This project was developed during the fall quarter in 2021 as an E-1 level venture. Behind the project was Project Lead Samuel Robinson, App Developer Abigayle Peterson, Marketing Lead Molly Leung and Research Lead Ella Gilreath. The project initially took shape as an app aimed at providing online access to art therapy services, but over the course of the quarter morphed into the creative lesson app it is now currently.
