For our team’s rebrand, we took on the Bellis Fair Mall and examined how it could be transformed into a residential community: Meridian Plaza. Our goal with this rebrand was to recycle the massive space a mall takes up and turn it into something that is lively and brings together the local Bellingham community, between residents, businesses, and experiences. The ongoing renovation of the city’s waterfront is anticipated to bring in thousands of jobs, and with the simultaneous ‘death of malls’ due to online shopping, the Meridian Plaza is an innovative way to celebrate the vibrant community of Bellingham.
