Project Summary – IUnderstand is a membership based app that provides businesses that have customer facing services an on demand interpreter by phone or video for the customers who speak limited to no English. Through our research we discovered that a large number of people both locally and nationally who struggle to access the services that they want and need due to a language barrier. They often deal with frustration, anger, and poor self image due to these accessibility issues. Our app would enable these people to have an interpreter available when they needed them to clearly and accurately explain what the customers goal is. We want to relieve the frustrations of the customers while making the worker’s jobs easier to provide quality customer service.
