Happy Winter Solstice, World!

And so the ringing in of lighter days begins.

Here, we may have not noticed to what extent of an extreme death process we have just endured, witnessing our shedding of karmic levels so deep-rooted that our ancestors are feeling the pain of our detachment… Dramatic, one can say, but true nonetheless.

Here, we may have—the shedding exemplified in forms of noticing our transitions in home, love, family, career and shifting beliefs. Mind you, we’ve just come to the close of what Universal Space-Time marks last of our darkest days, for the last decade! It seems natural that at this point in the cycle we’re bound to experience, what I’ve been exaggeratedly calling, “hemorrhaging” of emotional energy (“MY HEARRRT!”).

But 2020’s around the corner, baby—it’s time to make way.

We can feel this first-hand when we turn inward and tune in: even a short time in reflective meditation will remind us of our growth; our peaks and valleys yielding our rises and plateaus. As we survey the landscape of the last 10 years, we see the patterns we’ve made in the gardens, forests and waterways we’ve either tended to or ignored, either nurtured or neglected, lovingly observed or blatantly disregarded. Some of these patterns may be so clear they appear like crop circles in our farms from a bird’s eye view.

What then do we do, when we become cognizant of these personal engravings? Do we acknowledge what’s before us an as eternal part of our essence, not to be addressed as anything other than such? Do we perceive the crops lain as that which has been taken from us, blaming forces outside of ourselves for the messages we unconsciously send? Or, do we honor these marks, these empty spaces, as pathways too often travelled, and dare ourselves to forge on to explore new directions?

What strength it takes, regardless of choice, to look down directly at our self-inscribed alien encryptions and simply notice and love what comes up from the depths of our psyche. I bless us all to find the bravery and ease within ourselves to take a peek. Let us all embody our inner Lion[x]s, and embark on this new chapter of self-discovery together—I’m sure the “Roaring 20s” will thank us.

Now, I dare you, as I was dared to on Solstice night, to unleash your loudest Roar; within it stored all your greatest goals and desires for the New Year. Allow the sound of your will-powered voice to activate them into existence. Allow this practice to inspire your ability to speak them into existence. And, with breaths of awareness and unconditional love, allow yourself to surrender into self-trust such that you clear the path to receive their existence.
