Stand Speak Listen

Stand Speak Listen (SSL) is a BIPOC womxn-led community organization focused on “creating comfortable spaces for uncomfortable conversations,” through the channels of social justice activism, art and community events.

Cascadia Community Land Trust (CCLT) is a multi-generational nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve land in trust for sustainable intentional communities. The trust supports acquisitions of rural and urban properties to hold space for the development of housing and worker cooperatives.

Bellingham Activism

Aida finds herself engaging and supporting several different activist organizations in town, some including Stand Speak Listen, the Defund Bellingham Police Department Coalition and the City of Bellingham Racial Listening Sessions Ad Hoc Advisory Board and Task Force.

MAYA & Co. is an events organization focused on creating safe space for community healing by means of ecstatic movement and shared resonance of the cosmic season sand cycles.

Aida supports the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Program by co-organizing programs as part of the BE Team: a community space created by students in the minor to connect, relate and foster a Culture of Belonging.
