Mothman is the target of amorous energy in spaces both physical and digital. A search of the fan fiction site Archive of Our Own (AO3) turned up no less than four pages of romantic stories featuring Mothman paired with lovers both real and fictional.

Though Mounting the Mothman has mostly positive Amazon Reviews, not everyone is as excited to jump onto the cryptosex bandwagon.

Additional note: Though we’ve narrated Mothman’s sexual endeavors and fictions for those whose first impulse is to bang it out with a creature that is “half-moth,” it should be noted that some (many) of the first Mothman sightings described him more as a bird. Because nobody—thankfully—has captured Mothman (unless I guess you’re playing Fallout 76,in which case it sounds like you might hunt him or eat his eggs) to study him for science (shout out to last year’s favorite sexy creature who experienced something similar to this). This means, that we cannot confirm nor deny Mothman as being particularly “mothy” or “birdy,” so you’ll have to keep this in mind when you head out on your journey to hunt Mothman for your own romantic pleasures.
