Eyes of the Mothman. A more poetic take on the Mothman history will walk you through live-action re-enactments. It details the Battle of Point Pleasant between white settlers and a group of Shawnee Natives lead by Chief Cornstalk. The account of this area states that when white settlers went to make a treaty with Cornstalk he was ambushed and taken hostage. The moment of his death begins the myth of the curse of the area of Point Pleasant because the legend starts with Cornstalk cursing the area because of the violence done to him, his land, and his people.
