How did we gather the data?

We gathered data in multiple ways to get numerous responses from our population and sample. First, we decided to create a Google Form, a survey through Google that will allow us to post on social media and get responses from students at WWU. This will gain samples from students will all different ages, years, study habits, and answers to our questions. An online survey is the easiest and best way to gather information because it is bias-free and is very convenient for students to do.

In addition to Google, we conducted interviews. The interviews were one-on-one, in person. In the interview, the questions were the same as on the Google Survey. We primarily interviewed students near the Red Square because a majority of WWU students pass through Red Square on a daily basis. Red Square has a variety of students of all ages and habits. With variety, the data we gathered was representative of the whole population, giving us the data we needed.

Our data was recorded automatically by Google, but we compiled all of our data on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. All of the interview data was added to the spreadsheet as well so we have a total number of responses we analyzed.
