Located in downtown Bellingham, Quicksilver has been the go-to for printing of all kinds. Having been in business for more than 20 years, they offer a wide variety of printing services. As we continue with a remote learning structure at Western, many of the easily available services and resources have been closed. Students who were previously able to accomplish their photo needs in the Art Building’s photo lab may need to look elsewhere for development and darkroom services.

Quicksilver can even reprint your old negatives and film slides making it especially easy to get your hands on fresh prints. In-store they offer a modest selection of film lenses and camera accessories. I personally picked up a vintage 100-300mm zoom lens that was perfect for capturing landscapes during solid lighting. Not only was there a ton of printing options, but they also had a wide variety of straps, lens covers, cleaning materials, and more.

It is becoming more important than ever to support local businesses and Quicksilver is a great place to process your images, and might offer some inspiration during continued isolating.
