Nick Risinger, a 28-year-old from Seattle, quit his marketing job and traveled with his retired father to create this amazing photo of the world’s night sky, a 5000-megapixel photo stitched together from over 37,000 images gathered from the western US and South Africa. It is interactive, so you can rotate, zoom in or out, and see the names of all the constellations and planets. What’s amazing is this guy is neither a professional photographer nor an astronomer. Enjoy!
