About SAPB

Students Against Police Brutality (SAPB) is a research group focused on identifying patterns in Western Washington University student responses to police brutality nationwide. We study the impact of these events on student organizers, clubs, rallies, and other forms of protest and activism.

Police brutality is a violent issue that has been occurring within the United States for decades now, and by exploring instances in the period of 1960 to now we hope to uncover the whys and hows of student activism at Western, and specifically how they tie into national events and news.
