1. This slideshow media piece is about psychedelic drugs and how they may influence your creative mind. I selected a couple pieces of work that demonstrate the creativity brought to life when using psychedelic mushrooms or LSD. These are various forms of art or inventions thought up / inspired by these drugs, including music, music videos, inventions such as the iPhone and the discovery of the DNA double helix. All of these have that in common that they are unique, masterfully created, and not easy to think up. These works of art are a good example of how psychedelics can jumpstart your mind and get your creative juices flowing.
2. I decided to do this style of project because it contributes to my “Project 5” by proving our research: psychedelics do enhance your creative mind, and giving interesting real world examples of actual inventions, discoveries, or pieces of art induced/inspired by psychedelics. I was curious as to how the effects of psychedelics actually played out in the real world; wanted to find concrete forms of art or science that proved this.
3. I guess the most difficult part about the production process was narrowing down what I wanted to to display in terms of genre. There are so many good music videos and songs that were created on psychedelics I wanted to add all of them into my project, however I did not do that because I also wanted to display other creations like the iPhone and ‘The Ten Commandments’ and did not want to overwhelm the audience with too many slides.
4. I would recommend google slides and a good research methodology. You have to know what you’re looking for before you start looking for it.
