Scott Burton was the artist who designed and produced the sculpture. Burton is considered to have a short career compared to more recent artists, he actually passed away at the age of 50 in 1989. However during those 50 years, he produced a wide variety of art and was very successful and passionate about what he was producing. He created many interactive indoor and outdoor art sculptures that are considered both art and furniture.

Burton is famous for combining both furniture and art together. The vision of his art sculptures was for it to be interactive and useful, he wanted to change the idea of how art is viewed and used in the popular culture. Two-Part Chairs, Right Angle Version (a pair) sculpture is a perfect display of Burton’s passion to create art where one can immerse themselves and become part of the sculpture.
