“What I enjoyed about the project was getting to learn more about an artist I never heard of before. I always enjoy learning about women, like Beverly Pepper, who have accomplished so much. I felt that working on a group project where I had only met one of my partners once was a good challenge for group work. I liked the fact that it wasn’t a typical group project where I would have to go out and buy stuff to make a project. Lastly, I thought it was a needed addition to this art class because without this project the class would just be a lecture twice per week.”

“The Normanno Wedge, created by Beverly Pepper, is representation of earth and sky, and civilization and tools becoming one. One may think the sculpture is a simple metal piece, however, its meaning and architecture viewed from alternative points is unique and profound.”
