In this piece, I’m trying to capture that terrifying moment after an accident, if the vehicle is still drivable and no one is hurt, right before you pull back out onto the road. The shaking hands, sweaty brow, and a heart beat that you can feel and hear in every part of your body as what was moments before as easy and routine as making a cup of coffee becomes at once a very difficult endeavor, was what I was trying to capture. This picture and soundscape represent my experience after sliding down a mountain pass in a freak blizzard and careening into the mountain side, but is universal to almost anyone that has experienced a motor vehicle accident.
