This is a picture and soundscape of when I went to Shibuya Crossing in Japan. It’s considered to be the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world, estimating that over 1000 people cross each time. This captures the vibrant energy of this city’s unique urban life. It blends the rhythmic footsteps of pedestrians with the ambient noise of the city. To me, it evokes a sense of time as I hear people crossing the street.
