Eric Nelsen is an American ceramist from Vashon Washington, who created the one of the first anagma kiln in America after studying art in Asia for years. Since then he has continued working in his own studio and anagma kiln where he creates pieces such as large hand-made sculptures. There are so many different cultures and religions portrayed throughout each tile and this tells me that the artist was inspired by many different colors and styles that he came across in his journey. These ceramic tiles symbolize all different cultures and religions with an abundance of various colors and pattern located deep within the walls of the Environmental Science building.
