Gwen Larned

In her fourth year as the Zero Waste Coordinator at Western Washington University, Gwen Larned is working to help Western reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. She is passionate about educating the campus and community on ways we can change individual behaviors to have a better impact on people and our planet. Gwen is a senior, working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sustainability, with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. When not at work or studying, she spends her time practicing a zero waste lifestyle, and running her blog Trashy Radical.
Carrin Romain-McErlane
Director
As a senior at Western Washington University, Carrin has created her own major in the Humanities, doing Film Studies. She has set herself up for a career as a videographer, she loves sharing stories and making people laugh. Carrin grew up on Maui, where respect of the land is an inherent part of everyday life. Through her internship with Western’s video services she has been able to put her education into practice.
