Allied Arts of Whatcom County: 2010 Juried Artist Series: Interpretations, with abstract and interactive works by Francie Allen and Sharon Kingston.

Bloom: Art Show with works from Hailey Morgan, Janette Casolary, Meghan Rowley, Cassie Head and Cody Dickenson

Blue Horse Gallery: Egypt, Normandy, Wiltshire and Tuscany: Revisited, works by over 20 professional and amateur artists including painters and photographers.

Gathering Glass Designs: work by Lacey “LaceFace”, winner of Las Vegas’ “Female Flame Off Competition”

Works on Canvas Gallery & Studio: 3 Artists:3 Days, works by future WWU BFA student Hailey MacKay, and artists Laurie Potter and Sharon Kingston, the exhibit features photography, paintings of pastel, watercolor, and abstraction.

Beyond Borders 2010!

Head on over to the Viking Union Gallery in VU 507 for the 15th annual Beyond Borders 2010 International Fine Art Competition! This year’s exhibition features 22 artists from Western and around the Northwest; printmaking, photography, lithography, sculpture, mixed media and more are all in store for you at the show, open May 17-June 4.

There will also be a Closing Reception on June 3rd from 6-8pm where the winners of the competition will be announced, plus food, fun, and the release of an exclusive catalog.

The Open Mic by Michelle Newman

Photography BFA student, Michelle Newman, has her exhibition running at the Angle Gallery in downtown Seattle. Now through May 29th, Fridays and Saturdays 12-5pm, come check out The Open Mic, a series of photographic portraits of comedians combined with one of their “best/worst” jokes, and inspired by the process it takes to create a joke.
