This reading actually was quite informative. I enjoyed reading about the anatomy of the eye and how it relates to the camera. It was also interesting to read about how to make a camera obscura. It was a nice refresher as far as the technical descriptions and information about cameras seeing as I don’t have much experience with analog cameras..
The reading was very clear and informative. As someone who hasn’t had much experience with different kinds of cameras, I really liked the thorough descriptions and explanations of camera parts and their functions; I now have a better understanding of some of the parts of my DSLR. I also thought it was interesting to learn about some of the effects that can be created using Photoshop and how they are created.
This reading was very informative and a good instructional tool. Not too dry or dull, it was a good review of camera basics. It was a good way to learn new and proper terminology. I enjoyed that the authors made a connections to and explained the process of human vision. Reading the text definitely got me excited for the quarter!
The reading was a helpful review for me, especially the information on SLR’s. It’s been a few years since I’ve really spent some serious time with darkroom photography so I’m excited to get back into the swing of things. Also nice to get some Lightroom pointers. The pinhole cameras and camera obscuras were sweet too! I’d love to experiment with some of those.
The reading was good review of camera basics and photographic techniques. There is lots of information in the text and it’s reassuring to know that I have used, heard of, or can easily understand the concepts and technology. The reading was a lot of review for me but it was a good tool for getting excited about the course.
