Reading Response 2: pg. 76-92

James really emphasized that there is no need to use expensive materials or machines to print from. He mentioned that premium inks would cost around $11,000 dollars if we sold them by the mm. He also talked about and gave the process for making acrylic lift transfers from printed sources. This process involves using clay-coated papers as the source images. He suggests using high quality magazine pages for this. The instructions were on page 8.

Reading Response 1: pg. 2-32

I was excited to see how much history Christopher James went into at the start of this chapter. This is the first time I have ever read a history of photography written in a book that is solely about photography. I also really want to shoot using infrared film. On the last page of the reading I found an illustration for a 55 Polaroid pull technique set up that I plan to attempt to make sometime. I also want to build a pinhole that takes 35mm film so that I can shoot rolls and rolls of pinhole images.
