In our video, we incorporated photos, video footage, and sketches to describe Fred Bassetti’s work, Alphabeta Cube. Bassetti’s piece was originally located near Western Washington University’s Wilson Library but is now located in the Fairhaven Complex. It is interesting how the piece worked well in both of the locations. The faces of the dice in the center of the cube has various letters, numbers, and mathematical symbols correlating to Wilson Library being a hub for knowledge. Whereas, the Alphabeta Cube, is a subtle piece of art in its current location in the Fairhaven Complex. It almost blends in with its surroundings as it is made out of primarily natural materials.

We used various mediums in the video to capture the piece in different ways. The photos show what people see from a distance, the video footage shows how you need to get close to see what lies inside the cube, and the sketches are how Jayda Lopez viewed Alphabeta Cube. We thought that putting those different aspects into a video would be beneficial and an efficient way to provide the information.
