- To request a new Certificate of Eligibility letter to check your GI Bill benefit status. To request a COE, please call the Education Call Center at 888-442-4551. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.

Students receiving education benefits under Chapter 35 Survivors’ and Dependents’ Education Assistance (DEA) or Chapter 33 Fry Scholarship can alternatively submit a request online at the Apply for education benefits as an eligible dependent webpage.
CH33 Post 9/11 Dependents and CH 33 Post 9/11 Veterans

If the student applied for Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) benefits using VA.gov on or after August 20, 2022, they can download their COE online.

Students who applied for benefits before August 20, 2022, can submit a request online at the Apply for VA education benefits Form 22-1990 webpage.
Veterans Statement of benefits (in lieu of COE)

- Navigate to VA.gov via the link below and login with your CAC or DS Login. Check Your Post-9/11 GI Bill Benefits Status | Veterans Affairs (va.gov)
- After inputting your DS login you will be taken to the screen below. This shows your eligibility percentage, total month available to you, and the months you have already used up. Click the “Get Printable Statement of Benefits” to receive a PDF that you can send in to our office in lieu of your COE.
- We can use this Statement of Benefits until you receive another copy of your Certificate of Eligibility in the mail form the VA. They should send you and updated copy each quarter.
