Hike to Bukhansan

북한산국립공원

2020.02.27

First time hiking in Bukhansan National Park! Probably one of the hardest climbs I have ever embarked on, but with the right company and ongoing determination, the view at the top was absolutely worth it.

We took one of the main trails and followed it all the way to the top, of course taking little detours along the way.

Taking on the rocky and steep trails with new friends!

At the top, people take the time to break out the snacks and water before taking on the last few meters to reach the top. There were so many animals, small birds and wild dogs, that also came to say hello.

Baegundae Peak is 2,744 feet (836.5 meters) and ascending the last 300m with nothing but metal ropes that take you straight up, the view is so stunning. The South Korean flag flies high and proud against the backdrop that accentuates the entire city of Seoul.
