Venture Project 2: UniLink

After a long quarter my group and I are proud and relieved to finally complete our VP2 project. It was all our first times on the VP2 project and it went great. We helped each other whenever it was needed and for the most part worked very efficiently. We first located a common problem many people are experiencing right now during the pandemic, which is meeting new people and making friends. Especially at college it can be a bummer with this pandemic and not being able to get the full college experience. Thats how we came up with our venture UniLink, an app for others to socialize and connect virtually and in person. The app acts as a basic social media with a home feed, profile page, notifications, explore page, and direct messaging. The main section for the app is the events. We post events for students to sign up for virtually and in person, they can pick. This allows new students who are struggling to make friends meet others and connect. How did this quarter go for you? What did you love? What do you wish would have gone differently?

This quarter was very eye opening to me. I was able to get a much better understand about what the minor is all about! I am super glad I decided to take this minor because so far just this first quarter has been awesome, and I am learning very helpful skill sets to be the entrepreneur I want to be. Not sure what I would do differently. Somethings confused me at first, but I have a feeling next quarter will go much smoother.

Meg asked me to review over all the videos and write about something that stuck out to me(because I messed up my journals a little bit this quarter on accident).

After watching over all the videos, the one that really stood out to me the most was the feedback section. I have never really thought of the importance of feedback until this class. After watching the feedback video I have realized it can be super helpful to give good, detailed constructive feedback. This allows each group to make the adjustments they need to succeed, because everyone understands the importance of the feedback, so they want it to be as helpful as possible.

Last week went great. I do not have too much to say though because we only had one class. The one class was pitch day and I thought it went great! My group and I were ready and made sure to get it done in under 5 minutes!

This past week went great, our group did a really good job making sure everything was in check for our VP2 pitch. It felt kind of weird completing my first VP2 because it is a very new concept to my group and I, but we also want to get a good grade on it. I am doing this entry a bit late, so my group and I actually pitched yesterday. I think it went really good.

This past week was a bit stressful with exams, VP2, and change leadership. I feel much more relieved now. My group and I are just about done with VP2, I thought my change leadership went great which I am very happy about. That is about it, class has been going good, not much else to say.

E1 Change Leadership

At first I struggled with my first change leadership project. I was able to act quickly and figure out what I wanted to do after about a day of thinking. I feel really good about how it turned it, I think I understood how to complete it based on the criteria asked. By the end as I am writing this now, I actually really enjoyed doing this project. It allowed me to focus more on my decisions and get in the mindset to be the best entrepreneur I can be. This previous week went great. I was struggling a bit at the start with my change leadership project. Now I am feeling a lot better with it and starting to complete my objectives for the project. Our VP2 project is going great currently, we are just finishing up post prototype tasks and then working on our pitch! Other than that this past week went great.

It still feels like we are just getting started this quarter, but now we are a little bit past half way done. So far this quarter I have learned a lot in our E&I class. It has helped me build the skill sets to become a better entrepreneur. Last week went great. My group and I started to make some real progress on our VP2 project and our data has helped us finally narrow down the core of our idea. I am excited this coming week to start my change leadership project and record my day to day thoughts.

Another week has gone by and its going great! A week ago today my group and I were a little bit worried about what we were going to do for our VP2 project. We had a good idea but just did not know how to execute it and find our target market. After a few days of pivoting and strategizing we were able to really narrow down our target market and focus on what we needed to complete in order to succeed. Our group is now doing great and our project is operating smoothly. Looking forward to see what we learn this week in class!

This past week went great for me, not only in our E&I class but as well as my other classes. I had two mid terms to study for that I am glad are over and could relax a little this weekend. It has been awesome being able to work with my VP2 group this week. We are currently working on our interviews and sending the survey out. Our idea seems pretty good, but based on survey data I think we may need to change it up a little bit this week. Other than that school is going very well and I am excited to see what we do this week in E&I!
