The world renown poet, Pablo Neruda owned four houses before passing away. On the coast of La isla Negra, lies the house of Pablo Neruda which I got to visit. Inside the home had original pictures, books, furniture, and other beautifully crafted items from across the world. As I moved through the house I felt the presence of his work, the history of Chile, and saw the beauty of poetry woven tactfully in each decoration. I was never interested in poetry but a part of me started to crave the deeper meaning of the words behind the poetry used. I read and translated poetry trying to find each meaning and the bigger picture of what it means to be alive.
